Children Social and Learning Issues
Children love the idea of magic and tricks and hypnotherapy is usually very appealing to them.
A lot of children have feelings of insecurity: too tall, too short, too clever or too slow. Because children grow at different rates physically and mentally, they can feel vulnerable when they see their childhood friends seemingly moving onward and upward faster than they perceive their own progress.
Hypnotherapy can instill in children, a wonderful sense of self-worth, confidence and self-belief which gives them the realization that they can achieve anything they so desire.
There are many children’s issues which can be helped by hypnosis: anxiety, self- confidence, self-belief, esteem, bed-wetting, nail-biting, thumb-sucking, sleep disorders and night anxiety and eating disorders.
Memory enhancement, exam nerves and dyslexia can also be helped by boosting a child’s belief in their ability to thrive and succeed. Emotional Freedom Therapy, is known to be extremely beneficial with dyslexia.
Children have no concerns with hypnosis since children are almost “already in the hypnotic stat’, so using a form of guided visualization, children feel safe and comfortable. In this state of relaxation, the hypnotherapist can anchor positive feelings, which the child can call on when needed.
The essential ingredients when working with children are: friendly, warm, fun, enjoyment and one that centres on empowering the child. It is essential also, that at least one parent be present during the consultations.
Memory Enhancement
Hypnosis will help you to access long forgotten memories. From the moment you were
born, and perhaps even before then, you were forming images of everything you saw, heard, tasted, smelt and touched. All those memories were stored in your mind. The same process of memory storage happens every minute of everyday.
Information comes into the brain as a pattern of nerve cell activity, lasting seconds or less. Most is not, but some is permanently stored and saved within the same regions of the brain and that same information can be reactivated later. To do this, some nerve cell connections are strengthened, while others may be weakened: strong memories and weak memories. They are known as engrams.
Under hypnosis you will be able to access that deeper part of you, and you can increase your powers of recall. You will feel more in control of your thoughts and emotions.
Hypnosis is ideal for student’s memory enhancement, because it will facilitate your natural ability to concentrate better and utilize the vast resources of your memory and the full intellectual powers of the subconscious mind.
