Weight Management Issues
Weight issues can be very much tied up with the emotions, many people tend to eat more than their body wants or needs as they get older. If the average person ate a balanced healthy diet and took regular exercise they should be able to maintain an ideal body weight.
Many people eat between meals if they are bored, lonely, need a break, or for other specific reasons. This pattern of behavior becomes a habit which is difficult to break; it just becomes part of their routine.
Being overweight promotes tiredness and lethargy, which then leads on to a reluctance to exercise and now there is a complete cycle, which only fosters an increase in the condition. Then the psychological factors kick in, as the weight piles on, people feel uncomfortable and guilty. Their clothes no longer fit; they shop for bigger sizes, see themselves in the mirror and start negative thoughts patterns.
Thinkshift can help you break that pattern of behavior and that longstanding association with food. Through hypnosis you will get the motivation to eat more healthily, eat less but enjoy it more. You will feel motivated to exercise and drink more water.
At Thinkshift the weight loss through hypnosis program is based on giving the client a greater sense of well-being, self-confidence and a good self-image. The client is then encouraged to work towards the good self-image, always seeing themselves as being their ideal size and ideal weight, therefore only eating for a person of that size. You will feel happier and more positive because you will be progressing towards a new way of life and achieving your goals.
Eating Issues: Bulimia, Anorexia
Eating is an essential element of physiological survival, eating
is also a very social activity: being part of family or a group, sharing and showing hospitality. As babies we had to suck in order to survive, we bonded with Mother via breast and milk; later food was used as a reward or comfort as children. So food relates to the emotions, the love of self and the love of others.
People with eating disorders have distorted attitudes to food. They are unable to treat food as an enjoyable part of life, they see it as an enemy, a weapon or in some cases a best friend. The decision to eat or not, is no longer based on physical hunger but rather is driven by emotional needs. Their relationship with food begins to dominate their life: either starving themselves or eating to excess.
Becoming and staying thin can turn into an obsession and people can lose their ability to judge their body size accurately, as their attitudes to body shape become abnormal. Society’s obsession with slimness and physical fitness also plays a large part, putting pressure on the young to conform to the ideal body size regardless of their own shape and bone structure.
Hypnotherapy will gently help to change your attitude towards eating, give more motivation to improve health, fitness and resolve any inner conflict. It will also instill a sense of calmness, peace and personal security to enable the person to move forward and grow stronger at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for them.
